This is a great basic cream cheese frosting recipe. For cakes, cupcakes, cookies and more. I don’t like my frosting to be overly sweet so I didn’t add too much sugar, but feel free to alter how you like.

Cream Cheese Frosting
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups of confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients in an electric mixer and beat on medium speed until fully combined. Easier said than done with the confectioners sugar, make sure to start beating slowly so this stuff doesn’t get all over the place, then beat on a higher speed.
Pipe on your favorite cookies and dessert. Happy baking!!
